Greetings to all past ORBIT exhibitors and newcomers…

After a two-year hiatus, ORBIT, New Haven’s community art gallery, presented by Ideat Village, is back! We welcome all artists – first-time dabblers and accomplished, alike – to participate in a free, unjuried, open art exhibition, that will run throughout the summer.

We’re excited about our new location at West Village Apartments (in the historic former YMCA building) at 52 Howe Street in downtown New Haven… a fabulous exhibition

ORBIT Gallery invites all artists to showcase their work... paintings, drawings, photographs, sculpture, etc... The D.I.Y. hanging begins at 10:00 am on Saturday June 14th. Space is allocated on a first come, first served basis and will be available in the main “community room” (see pic, attached), as well as adjacent rooms, to accommodate installations, special projects or artist’s preference.

An Opening Reception follows the long day of installation -- 8:00 pm on Saturday June 14th  -- we hope to see all artists and friends of artists there. Support community art!

Note to artists: If you can't make it on the 14th, no problem – you may submit your work until June 28th (but please arrange a time to hang in advance).

The community show will run throughout the summer, concurrent with other, occasional, music and art events. Filmmakers and musicians, please contact Ideat Village if you
have a summer performance idea to present at the gallery.

ORBIT is free and open to everyone who wants to exhibit... really... we're not kidding. Tell your friends. For more info, contact us at OR
