Benefit For Unidad Latina En Accion

For 10 years, Unidad Latina en Accion has been fighting and winning for workers' rights and
immigrants' rights, supporting victims of police brutality, advocating for New Haven's Latin@ population. They do some of the most important work being done today in the Elm City.

WHAT CHEER? BRIGADE

The What Cheer? Brigade is an 18-piece brass band from Providence, RI, USA. Our sound is an aggressive mix of Samba, Bollywood, The Balkans, New Orleans, and Hip-Hop, played with the intensity of metal. Requiring no amplification, we prove that great parties need no electricity. Their live shows defy boundaries, appealing equally to punks and farmers, old and young.

What Cheer? has performed with Dan Deacon at Lollapalooza, at the Beehive Design Collective's Blackfly Ball, has shared a bill with the B-52s, in Budapest, Hungary, Serbia, Germany and the Czech Republic -- and they've performed at the HONK! festival each year since 2006, at Providence Sound Session since 2007, alongside artists such as Lightning Bolt, Okkervil River, Trombone Shorty, Matt and Kim, and many others.
